Politics: Chief Dr. Patrick Eholor, Labour Party national Stakeholder sets to resign.

  Previously Patrick Eholor organized a press conference in his house addressing the journalists on quitting his appointment in Labour Party. Lately, Eholor said that he's still in consultation about the decision.  However, today in an interview, Chief Patrick Eholor spoke about quitting the party because of the inactiveness of his appointment in the party. According to Dr. Patrick, he said the reason why he plans to opt out is based on the denial by the party in allowing the committee discharge their mandate. “Recently, they did an amendment of a new list where they had 75 persons appointed in the diaspora, if we were duly inaugurated and we are supposed to be in charge of the diaspora, we should have been duly informed If more persons are to be inaugurated into the committee. Stay-At-Home Husband Sues Wife For Not Disclosing Her Salary.

 A stay-at-home husband, Gyang Gyang, on Friday, dragged his wife, Jemima, before a customary court in Nyanya, Abuja, on the grounds that she refused to disclose how much she earns as salary. The man also alleged that his wife was not submissive to him and that she travelled often without informing him. He told the court that, “As the man of the house, my wife is supposed to tell me when she’s travelling, but she travels whenever she wants without telling me, “I only find out she has travelled when I don’t see her in the house. She doesn’t take orders from me and she disrespects me.” He further told the court that, “My wife has never been a supportive wife. She left the upbringing of our children to me. ”I suffer from diabetes and hypertension. She has refused to disclose how much she earns as salary to me.” He, therefore, prayed the court to dissolve his marriage before he died of high blood pressure. A leader of the Labour Party, and human rights defender, Chief (Dr) Patrick Eholor has decried what he termed the deliberate scarification of men of the Nigerian police to assassins across the country.  Eholor in a video interview, was reacting to the recent attacks on Senator Ifeanyi Ubah in Anambra State, where six officers lost their lives, as well as yesterday's attack on Apostle Johnson Suleman, where four police men were killed alongside two civilians.  Eholor said the deaths were avoidable, as the officers were compelled by their superiors to be hired as private security for the BIPs they protect.  According to him, it is preposterous for several different the Inspector General of Police to make public statements that they have withdrawn officers from VIPs, without taking action.  He stated that its unfortunate that officers who should have been doing legitimate jobs protecting the citizens are forced to serve one man and die daily to bullets not meant for the...

The President of One Love Foundation, Chief (Dr.) Patrick Osagie Eholor has written to the Attorney General of the Federation, the Chief of Naval Staff, and the Chief of Defense Staff over the burning of a shipping vessel apprehended by Tompolo’s security being used for oil theft. The Tantita Security Services had apprehended a large ship, the MT Deima with International Maritime Organisation Number: 7210525 conveying stolen crude and handed it over to military personnel. However, the military authorities had ordered the immediate burning of the ship, a development which did not go down well with Nigerians as they accused the military authorities of trying to conceal evidence of high level criminal activity. Tuition hike: Protesting Ogun poly students disrupt exams, demand reversal.

Some students of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Monday, shut down the school in protest against the increased tuition fees by the management. The angry students, who alleged extortion by the management through what they termed illegal fees, barricaded the institution’s main entrance as early as 6.30am. The protesters disrupted the ongoing second-semester examination, as students coming for the exams met the gate under lock and key. The students also prevented lecturers and other staff of the institution from gaining entrance into the school premises. The aggrieved students, who sang anti-management songs, carried placards with inscriptions such as, ‘We no be rich kids, na why we come MAPOLY’, ‘#Say No To Unreasonable Increment Now!!!,’ ‘Say no to extortion,’ ‘Bring back our 60/40% what is new on the portal’, among others.   Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, has endorsed Lagos state, governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for a second term in office. Wike, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said he endorsed Sanwo-Olu for a second term in office because of his performance. Sanwo-Olu’s main contender in the election is PDP candidate Olajide Adediran, known as Jandor. According to Wike, the Lagos State governor’s performance is enough to earn him his endorsement. Usman Abubakar-Rimi, a Medicine and Surgery final-year student of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS), who ventured into food selling business due to prolonged ASUU strike, has died. Abubakar-Rimi opened a food outlet and Indomie joint in the Diplomat area in Sokoto. According to a report from News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) the medical student died after a brief illness. The death was confirmed to NAN on Saturday by the Chairman of 21st Century Enterprenuer Hub, Umar Idris, a close associate of the deceased. Idris who said the deceased had been buried according to Islamic rites, described him a humble person and a dedicated student and entrepreneur. The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Thursday upheld the appeal of the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu. The court also discharged and acquitted the embattled leader of  Kanu’s lawyer and human rights activist, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, confirmed this on his Facebook page on Thursday. “Appeal allowed, Oyendu Mazi Nnamdi KANU, discharged and acquitted. The Labour Party (LP) has announced the composition of its 2023 presidential campaign council. The list, comprising 1,234 names, was presented at an event on Wednesday in Abuja. Although the event was tagged “Pre Campaign World Press Conference,” it was largely attended by the supporters of the presidential candidates. Both Peter Obi and his running mate, Yusuf Baba-Ahmed, were not in attendance. Mr Obi, in a tweet later deleted, confirmed his presence at the ICAN 52nd Annual Accountants Conference. Speaking on the composition of the team, the Secretary of the LP, Umar Farouk, said the list has members of the party from the six geopolitical zones as well as People Living With Disabilities. AAU Increases the Price of Admission Forms, Announces 140 as Minimum Cut off mark.

 Ambrose Alli University in Edo state Nigeria, on Friday, announced the commencement of Sales for the 2022/2023 Academic session undergraduate admission form. This information was made known through a Press release issued by the management. The press release showed that the University’s admission board has approved 140  as the minimum cut off mark and also increased the price of purchase from 2,200 naira to the sum of 12,200 naira. MC Oluomo Introduces Bar Code To Stop Criminal Activities

The head of the Lagos state branch of the National Union of Road Transport Workers Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo has introduced Bar Code to Stop Kidnapping and other criminal activities perpetrated by some commercial bus drivers in Lagos Garages. MC Oluomo, however, urged commuters to download an app and scan the bar code on buses to confirm if they are safe for boarding. According to him, the initiative will curb kidnappings and other criminal activities perpetrated by some commercial bus drivers. MC Oluomo warned leaders of various parks and garages to weed out criminal-minded elements in their domains else would be held responsible for their actions.   The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi is reportedly set to marry two more wives this October. This comes shortly after getting married for the fourth time to Olori Mariam Anako, a Queen from Ebira in Kogi state, and also getting Olori Elizabeth Opeoluwa Ogunwusi nee Akinmuda betrothed to him in Magodo, Lagos. According to reports, the Ooni will be tying the knot with Tobi Phillips and Ashley Adegoke before his 48th birthday which comes up on October 17th.  Tobi Phillips is a graduate of Marine Science from the University of Lagos and a former Beauty Queen. The factional Senate President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Ismail Adediwura Adeshina has recently declared the president of the faction, Faruk Lawal missing hours after announcing his arrest.Adediwura also said that there is no cause for alarm as he had already spoken to Lawal.
