Farida Sobowale: If I Knew You Were Planning On Suicide, I Would Have Stayed On The Phone With You - Iyabo Ojo

Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has reacted to socialite Farida Sobowale's suicide attempt Thursday night.  According to the actress, she was on the phone with Sobowale for a while but was unaware that the Lagos socialite and Chief Executive Officer of House of Phreeda,  was planning on ending her life.  Iyabo, also prayed for Sobowale, adding that things would get better in no time. Sobowale, on Thursday night, had attempted suicide on the Third Mainland Bridge.  She arrived at the bridge in her Lexus SUV and was about to jump into the Lagoon when some men held her back.  In the now-trending video, Sobowale was seen dressed in black, crying as some men, held her down preventing her from committing the crime and consoling her.  Iyabo's post read: “Hmmmm my darling, if I knew you had this on your mind, I wouldn’t have gotten off the phone with you.  "Of course, you knew what you wanted to do but you diverted my attention elsewhere. Enugu Police Arrest Suspects For Conspiracy, Vandalism, And Unlawful Possession Of Firearm And Ammunition

The Enugu State Police Command said it has arrested four people involved in different offenses of conspiracy, housebreaking, vandalism, and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.  This was made known in a statement signed by the State Public Relations Officer, DSP Daniel Ndukwe and shared on the command's X (formerly Twitter) handle.  The statement said, "Police Operatives of Enugu State have arrested a total of four (4) male victims involved in different offenses of conspiracy, housebreaking, vandalism, and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. BBNaija All Stars housemate Angel Agnes Smith simply known as Angel has opened up on her mental health struggles revealing that she almost took her own life back in March 2023. Angel, a former housemate in the Season 6 edition of the show (Shine ya eye), disclosed this during a conversation with fellow housemate Soma on Tuesday. She said, "I numbed myself out after my suicide attempt in March because it got so chaotic. Fame divided me into pieces and left those pieces on the floor for me to pick up. It broke me. FG: No federal university is allowed to charge tuition fees

The Federal Government has insisted that no federal university is allowed to charge tuition fees in the country. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mr David Adejo said this at a public hearing by the House of Representatives ad hoc committee on student loans in Abuja on Tuesday. Adejo said that the recent increase in charges by federal universities in the country was unfortunate. “What they collect is charges to cover the cost of accommodation, ICT, and power, among others. It is the Governing Councils of the Universities that have the power to approve such charges for them. “The only university that increased charges after the signing of the student loans act is the University of Lagos. “They came to the Ministry with a proposal to increase their charges because all Governing Councils were dissolved and we gave them approval. “Immediately that was done, there was a resolution from the House stopping the increase in fees and the President also gave a directive stopping any...
