Flood: Maiduguri sinks in water flood, needs government to rescue



Few days ago in the city of Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, Nigeria, a lot of people were in luxury, in so much abundance and ambience, before the tragic event of the flooding.


Before that day, alot of people were deciding amongst multiple food items which to eat, multiple clothes which to wear, multiple cars which to drive, multiple malls which to go for shopping, multiple route which to take, multiple this and multiple that.



It's sickening for must of those people to wake up on Tuesday morning without a cloth to wear, food to eat, car to drive not even a house to pass just a night as everything were whisked between the hours of 2am-5am.


I am very sure most of the victims never saw their houses, cars, food items etc washed away before their eyes without any will to do anything about it.


Tuesday 10th September, seem cruel as the whole city was on her feet as to what and where to find rescue.


People saw their love ones yanked from their hands by the force of the flood as they were trying to rescue them, whose dead bodies were found days after.


The intriguing thing about the flood was that it didn't take permission of whose house to invade, both the rich and the poor alike.

Then I asked, "WHERE IS THE BOAST"?


I ponder on this and life generally and all that kept coming to my mind was  "THIS IS THE VANITY OF LIFE".


I Put up all of these to say that, the only thing that is sure to be conscious of, is ETERNITY.


Live with the consciousness of eternity not the mundane things of this life that can be whisked within the twinkle of an eye.


Pray for Maiduguri,

Pray for the people of Maiduguri,

Pray for Borno State,

Pray for Nigeria.
