In a striking parallel to the ancient tale of Esau and Jacob, two brothers vying for paternal blessing, the APC and PDP engaged in their own struggle for supremacy. Monday Okpebholo, the APC's standard-bearer, received the royal blessing at the palace, symbolizing divine endorsement.


Meanwhile, the PDP, embodied by Esau's restless spirit, wandered through the Garrick Memorial forest, grasping for a fleeting chance. Their quest, however, was doomed from the start. As the biblical narrative unfolds, Esau's delay proved costly, and Jacob secured the irreversible blessing.



Today, the PDP's belated emergence from the 'forest' finds them facing an insurmountable reality: the blessing has been bestowed upon Jacob. The battle is won and lost; the outcome, irrevocable.


The PDP would do well to acknowledge the writing on the wall, concede graciously, and begin rebuilding for the future. The people have spoken, and the UNIBEN Sports Ground's overflowing crowd serves as testament to the APC's unstoppable momentum.
