NIGERIA @64: SPEAKER, EDO STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY PRAYS FOR NATIONAL UNITY



…..seeks collaboration of citizens to nation building at all levels and arms of government


The speaker Edo state house of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Blessing Agbebaku has joined the multitude of Nationals to celebrate Nigeria’s 64 independence anniversary while calling for reflection on the trajectory successes and challenges as a nation by leaders and citizens alike. 


Rt. Hon. Agbebaku in his statement to the press noted the struggles for  independence was a pursuit of nobles who considered freedom as a panacea to realizing the collective interest of her people; sacrifices made in pain and discomfort must not be jeopardized by greed and avarice. 


He expressed the role the legislative arm,comprising the leadership and honourable members of the state of Assembly has made to complement the institutional and administrative functions. 


“Today is remarkable in our nation’s history. Reservations and sentiments are relative owing to the present economic challenges that has almost obliterated the little hope left in Nigerians, but against the backdrop of these seemingly endless travails we should be concerned and hopeful for a better Nigeria, contributing our little quota, where and when necessary.


“Amongst the plethora of our concern, I pray that we all  work with Government at all levels and arms to ensure peace, unity, secured and prosperous society for us all to live, he added.


Mr Speaker urged to join in prayers for the strengthening of core institutions in the country for the Nation to thrive more.


He Urged all In the country  ,to join hands to lift the nation as this is the only nation we can truly and genuinely call our own.
