Condolence Message from the Honorable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, FNSE, to Bishop Gabriel Ghieakhomo Dunia and the Auchi Catholic Diocese on the Passing of Mrs. Maria Dunia


With a profound sense of loss yet gratitude to God for a life well spent, I extend my heartfelt condolences to His Lordship, Bishop Gabriel Ghieakhomo Dunia, the Dunia family, and the entire Auchi Catholic Diocese on the passing of Mrs. Maria Dunia, a matriarch who lived to a ripe and fulfilled age.


Mama Maria Dunia was a woman of deep faith, virtue, and grace, whose life was a testament to the power of love, devotion, and service to God and humanity. She not only nurtured a family rooted in strong moral values but also gifted the world a remarkable son in Bishop Gabriel Dunia, whose spiritual leadership continues to uplift and inspire many within and beyond the Auchi Catholic Diocese.


As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived—a life that bore fruits of righteousness and service. Her enduring legacy will remain a guiding light for those who had the privilege of knowing her.


I pray that the Almighty grants Bishop Dunia, the entire Dunia family, and the Auchi Catholic Diocese the strength to bear this loss with faith and courage. May Mama Maria Dunia’s soul find eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord.
