Okpebholo’s parade of tractors

 


Tractors of many colors would be arriving Benin city anytime soon, it has emerged. The plan by the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo, is to acquire about 500 tractors. 


Report indicates that the government is set to take delivery of additional 20 tractors of many colours and configurations. 


A source within Government House revealed that the tractors would be distributed to the 10 local government areas for maintaining public infrastructure, particularly schools. 


The source said, “a significant portion of the tractors will be allocated to support the clearing and maintenance of school environments. The goal is to ensure that public schools across the state remain clean, safe, and conducive to learning. 


“Students cannot be expected to handle the overwhelming burden of clearing overgrown grasses and weeds around their schools. It is not only unrealistic but also unsafe”, the source said. 


With the arrival of the tractors, a colorful parade of progress is expected to sweep through the local government areas and public infrastructures.
