IPPIS: Federal Government gives new procedures for Tertiary Institutions Exit.

By Esther Ijeh The federal Government has outlined new steps regarding the procedure for Tertiary Institutions to change from the Intergarted Personnel and Payroll Information system.(IPPIS). This new development is targeted at allowing these Institutions to be Independent and Improving the payroll management system efficiently and effectively.  It also has the approval from the Federal Executive Council. According to a news report on PUNCH,"In a circular dated Octobet 8, 2024, The Accountant General of the federation,  Dr Oluwatoyin Madein provided details of the transition plan. Also According to the circular, the payroll for October 2024, will be handled by the IPPIS, while from November, the Institution will have direct control of their payroll. The Accountant General Office of the Federation IPPIS department will checkmate this records and the payments will be conducted by the Government,Intergrated Financial Managrment Information System (GIFMIS).
