The thickness is about 600-700mm high (60-70cm) (2ft4" plus - Stone Base and Pavement inclusive). The reinforcement bars are 25mm -30mm diameter (TNT product). Following the circulation of a viral video showing acts of extortion by police officers along the Benin bypass, the Nigeria Police Force, in line with its zero-tolerance policy on extortion and unprofessional conduct, has taken immediate action. Upon their arrival at the Force Headquarters, the six erring officers, including their supervising officer, a Chief Superintendent of Police, were marched in to appear before the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun Ph.D, NPM, who condemned their actions as shameful, distasteful, and utterly unacceptable. He further ordered the immediate commencement of disciplinary procedures against all six officers involved. Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has dangled a window of restitution for cult members in the State to renounce and turn a new leaf, while those in possession of illegal arms and ammunition have been called upon to surrender them to authorities in exchange for amnesty. Governor Okpebholo made this known on Tuesday while meeting with the leaders of Obagie, Oke-Oroma, and Amagba communities over land and insecurity concerns in Benin city. While reinstating his administration’s resolve to develop the proposed new city around the communities, the Governor said a technical committee will soon be announced to handle the restitution of cult members and criminally-minded youths in a bid to reduce the menace of violent crime including kidnapping.   Tractors of many colors would be arriving Benin city anytime soon, it has emerged. The plan by the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo, is to acquire about 500 tractors.  Report indicates that the government is set to take delivery of additional 20 tractors of many colours and configurations.  A source within Government House revealed that the tractors would be distributed to the 10 local government areas for maintaining public infrastructure, particularly schools.  The source said, “a significant portion of the tractors will be allocated to support the clearing and maintenance of school environments. The goal is to ensure that public schools across the state remain clean, safe, and conducive to learning.  “Students cannot be expected to handle the overwhelming burden of clearing overgrown grasses and weeds around their schools. Nigeria's solid minerals sector, driven by the Tinubu administration's new policy of local value addition and a tightened licensing regime, attracted over $800 million in processing projects last year.   The sector also generated over ₦38 billion in revenue in 2024, up from just ₦6 billion the previous year, despite receiving only 18% of its ₦29 billion budgeted allocation.   The Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr Dele Alake, revealed this during a feature interview for an upcoming State House documentary marking President Tinubu's second anniversary.   Alake said the sector has witnessed an increase in investor interest buoyed by the administration's mining sector reforms.   He listed the $600 million lithium processing plant near the Kaduna-Niger border, to be commissioned this quarter, the $200 million lithium refinery on the outskirts of Abuja, nearing completion, and two additional processing plants in Nasarawa, slated for commissioning before Q3 2025. ...

The forum is also proposing a constitutional framework for power rotation between the South and North that will allow regional blocs to micro zone the presidency and ensure every Nigerian has a voice in national development.
